Arkansas AAU Track and Field Sports Director

George  Brown was elected as Arkansas AAU Track and Field Sports Director in August 2022.  He had been Deputy Sports Director for 12 years.  Coach Brown is the President and Head Coach of Twin City Breeze Track Club, located in Texarkana, TX.  Twin City Breeze has been in existence for 21 years.

Tamesha Cunningham
Treasure

Tamesha Cunningham has been AR AAU Track and Field's Treasure since 2018. Before becoming AR AAU Treasure, she held the position of Member At Large for the Association. Coach Cunningham is also one of the Head Coaches for her track team Cunningham Racing, which was established in 2012.

Danielle Wilson has been Arkansas AAU Track and Field Treasure and Assistant Timing Crew since 2018. Danielle has been an active member of Team Elite Track Club since 2007. Danielle becomes the Vice President of Team Elite 2019.

Tamika Heard
AAU Track and Field District Timing Coordinator

Tamika Heard, who has been the head timer since 2016, oversees the Hytek Meet Manager Software to ensure Arkansas Meets run efficiently.  She is responsible for loading Arkansas AAU Track and Field results to the CoachO Website. She is also an active Christian Competition Track Club board member for 10+ years. 

Dr. Kathy Richard
Member At Large

Dr. Kathy L. Richard, her husband Martin, and I founded the Port City SPEED Track Club in August 2002. Since its inception, we have been pivotal in training over 750 boys and girls, aged 5 to 18, for national AAU Track & Field competitions. Dr. Richard holds a Doctor of Religious Counseling degree from Gospel Ministries in Houston, TX, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Religious Studies from Round Rock, TX.

The AAU was founded in 1888 to establish standards and uniformity in amateur sports. During its early years, the AAU served as a leader in international sport representing the U.S. in the international sports federations. The AAU worked closely with the Olympic movement to prepare athletes for the Olympic Games. After the Amateur Sports Act of 1978, the AAU has focused its efforts into providing sports programs for all participants of all ages beginning at the grass roots level. The philosophy of "Sports for All, Forever," is shared by nearly 700,000 participants and over 150,000 volunteers.
